James Ray Osborn, 78, of Danville, IL, and with family in Huntington, IN, died Wednesday, June 9, 2021, at 2:55 p.m., at OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center in Danville, IL.Mr. Osborn was a Danville High School graduate in 1961. He was an electricians mate graduate in the U.S. Navy in 1963. Later he completed the General Motors training program to become a journeyman electrician. He retired from General Motors Central Foundry with 30 years of service in 1993. He then moved to Huntington and worked as a maintenance supervisor for 10 additional years at Hayes International until 2003. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge. He was also a member of Ridgeview Baptist Church in Danville, IL. He was born on Feb. 7, 1943, in Danville, to Earl H. Osborn and Mary Jane (Cox) Osborn. He married Priscilla Marie Hartz on July 28, 1974. She survives in Danville, IL. Additional survivors include two sons, Jeffrey James (Michelle) Osborn, of Huntington, and James Scott (Micki) Osborn, of Fithian, IL; two step-daughters, Cindy (Mike) Cox, of Sanford, FL, and Tammy Randolph, of Danville, IL; a brother, Earl Osborn, of Danville; and 10 grandchildren Alex Jeffrey Osborn, of Huntington, Alexis Marie Osborn, of Huntington, Cloe Kay Osborn, of Huntington, Trevor James Osborn, Courtney (Andrew) Baker, of Augusta, GA, Michael Cox, of Sanford, FL, Chad Randolph, of Chicago, IL, Amanda Halem (Randolph), of Danville, IL, Cassandra Phebus, of San Diego, CA, and Brian Phebus, of Stamford, TX.
