William Howard “Bill” Shull, 77, of Fort Wayne, IN, and with ties to Huntington, IN, died Thursday, June 17, 2021.
Mr. Schull graduated in 1963 from Claypool High School, where he was involved in 4-H and Future Farmers of America. He served in the U.S. Army from 1965 to 1967. Afterward, he worked in various jobs including a feed mill, grain elevator, glass installation and truck driving. After retirement, he worked for the Fort Wayne Urban League and Eagle’s Nest transporting kids. He was a member of Christ’s Community Church in Fort Wayne. He also belonged to American Legion Post No. 402 in Laketon and the Whitley County Amateur Radio Club. His call sign was KB9MDR.
He was born on April 30, 1944, in Kosciusko County, to Gerald and Miriam Overholser Shull.
He is survived by a brother, Lamoin “Jerry” (Teresa) Shull; and a sister, Mary Ann (Mike) O’Neil.
Calling will take place on Tuesday, June 22, 2021, at Christ’s Community Church, 10616 Liberty Mills Road, Fort Wayne. D.O. McComb and Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, Fort Wayne, is handling arrangements.
A funeral service will take place on Wednesday, June 23, 2021, at 11 a.m., at the church, with calling one hour prior.
Burial will follow at 2 p.m. at Ulrey Cemetery in Silver Lake.
