Steven W. Edington, 74, of Huntington, IN, died Tuesday, June 22, 2021, at 5:38 a.m., at Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home, Fort Wayne.Mr. Edington graduated from Huntington High School in 1964. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He retired from General Electric of Fort Wayne as a fork truck driver after 32 years of service. He was born on July 22, 1946, in Huntington, to William "Red" and Vivian Chapin Edington. He married Mary "Raine" L. Smart on Aug. 7, 1974, in Roanoke. She survives in Huntington. Additional survivors include a nephew, Michael R. Vollmar, of Huntington; four great nephews, Billy Suter, of Huntington, Josh M. Vollmar, of Fort Wayne, Bryan E. (Lindsey Buzbee) Vollmar, of Huntington, and Mikey Vollmar, of Shelbyville; several great-great nieces and nephews; and several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. He was preceded in death by a niece, Kimberly K. Vollmar. Calling will take place on Friday, June 25, 2021, from 1 to 2:30 p.m., at Bailey-Love Mortuary, Huntington. A graveside service will follow at 3 p.m., at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Huntington.
