James A. Fowler, 84, of Silver Lake, IN, and with ties to Huntington, IN, died Sunday, July 18, 2021, at 5:35 p.m., at his residence.
Mr. Fowler graduated from Lake Providence High School in 1955. He worked at Chronicle Tribune in Marion for 16 years as circulation manager, and also worked in production at Majestic CFM in Huntington for seven years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Transylvania, LA.
He was born on Aug. 30, 1936, in Pioneer, LA, to Henry and Frances Burch Fowler. He married Marilyn J. Bogear on Dec. 21, 1957, in Jonesboro. She survives in Silver Lake.
Additional survivors include a son, Cecil Grady (Paula Shearer) Fowler, of Warsaw; a grandson, Andrew Fowler, of Marion; a granddaughter, Angelea (Andy) Bilbee, of Marion; and five great-grandchildren.
Calling will take place today, Wednesday, July 21, 2021, from noon to 1 p.m, at Bailey-Love Mortuary. A funeral service will immediately follow with Rev. Duane Kline officiating.
Burial will be in Estates of Serenity in Marion.
