Wayne Lee Jackson, 88, of Warren, IN, died Friday, Aug. 13, 2021, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, after a battle with liver cancer.
Mr. Jackson attended Solid Rock United Methodist Church. He attended trade school after graduating from high school. He served in the U.S. Army in the Armored Tank Division. He worked for many years at Corning Glass in Bluffton and was a member of the American Legion Van Buren Post.
He was born on Feb. 4, 1933, in Warren, to Donald and Edna L. Barnes Jackson. He married Mary Ann Jackson on May 12, 1956, in Marion. She survives in Warren.
Additional survivors include three daughters, Peggy (Dan) Whinery, of Warren, Jo Ellen Keller, of Warren, and Cristina Jackson, of Lombard, IL; two brothers, Wendell (Marsha) Jackson and Guy Jackson, both of Warren; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Cindy Jackson.
There will be no services at this time, but a celebration of life service will take place at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Glancy-H. Brown & Son Funeral Home in Warren.
