Linda Jean Lahr Shaw, 80, of Punta Gorda, FL, formerly of Columbia City, IN, and Huntington, IN, died Thursday, Aug. 12, 2021.
Mrs. Shaw was a 1959 graduate of Huntington Township High School. She retired from Wabash Technologies in 1995 and taught Sunday School for St. Marys Catholic Church for several years.
She was born on Jan. 31, 1941, in Huntington, to Charles and Lillian Lahr. She married Thomas E. Shaw on Sept. 10, 1960. He preceded her in death.
Survivors include a son, Scott T. Shaw, of Punta Gorda, FL; a daughter, Mandy Shaw Fordyce, also of Punta Gorda, FL; a sister, Kay Lahr Flick, of Muncie; three brothers, Ron (Grace) Lahr, of Fort Wayne, Donald (Karmen) Lahr, of Huntington, and Glen (Julie) Lahr, of Huntington; and three grandchildren, Nicole Shaw, Austin (Hannah) Shaw, of Columbia City and Danielle Fordyce of Punta Gorda, FL.
She was preceded in death by a son, Todd C. Shaw.
A celebration of life service will take place on Saturday, Aug. 28, 2021, at the First Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall, 50 E. Tipton St., Huntington. Calling will begin at 11 a.m. and services will begin at 11:50 a.m. Lunch and fellowship to immediately follow the service.
