Kristina Kay Kinniry-Datta, 54, of Huntington, IN, died Sunday, Aug. 22, 2021, at her home in Huntington.
Mrs. Kinniry-Datta graduated from Bishop Dwenger High School with the class of 1985. She served as captain of her pom-pom squad there. She later graduated from the University of Saint Francis with her bachelor’s and master’s degrees. She was a teacher for over 20 years. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.
She was born on May 6, 1967, in Fort Wayne, to Thomas and Rita nee Egts Kinniery, who survive in Fort Wayne. She was married to Pradeep Datta, who preceded her in death.
Additional survivors include five children, Ryan Datta, Rachael (Kody) Hope, Brianna (Zach Barrow) Datta, Alex Datta and Patrick Datta; and six siblings, David (Holly) Kinniry, Brian (Mary) Kinniry, Kirk (Lisa) Kinniry, Marla (Dennis) Lessen, Kara Kinniry, and Debra (Carl) Wegmet.
A funeral service will take place on Monday, Aug. 30, 2021, at 1 p.m., at Fairhaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 6557 N. Clinton St., Fort Wayne, with calling two hours prior.
