Stanley M. Morton, 81, of Warren, IN, died Tuesday, Sept. 7, 2021, at 3:51 a.m., at Heritage Pointe in Warren.
Mr. Morton graduated from Jackson Township in Wells County in 1957 and continued his education at Taylor University, where he received his Bachelor of Science in education. He taught at Hartford Center in Adams County, Jackson Township and Southern Wells. He was a lifelong farmer. He was a long-time member of McNatt Church, where he sang in the men’s choir, “A Few Good Men.”
He was born on Jan. 25, 1940, to Benjamin H. and Oma A. Manring Morton. He married Luanne Affolder on Aug. 11, 1963, in Berne. She survives in Warren.
Additional survivors include two sons, Ben (Kelly) Morton, of Warren, and Tom (Gina) Morton, of Huntington; two brothers, Marshall (Marylee) Morton of Fort Wayne, and Warren (Geri) Morton, of Bluffton; four grandchildren, Courtney (Jordan) Caldwell and Brittney (Jacob) Miller, both of Warren, and Lukas Morton and Jakob Morton, both of Huntington; and five great-grandchildren.
Calling will take place on Friday, Sept. 10, 2021, from 2 to 8 p.m., at McNatt Church, Warren.
A funeral service will take place on Saturday, Sept. 11, 2021, at 2 p.m., with calling to begin at 10 a.m. Rev. Bill VanHaften will officiate.
Burial will follow at Asbury Cemetery.
