Margaret “Eloise” Evans, 90, of Warren, died Saturday, Sept. 11, 2021, at 4 p.m., at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne.
Mrs. Evans graduated in 1949 from Warren High School. Her first job was at the original theater in Warren. She also worked at the telephone company as an operator before being a homemaker. Other jobs she was known for was making cabinets and cedar chests at Caswell Runyan in Huntington and she provided childcare for many families in Warren out of her home.
She was born on May 11, 1931, in Wells County, to Carl Fuller and Thelma Slater Fuller. She married William Paul Evans on Sept. 28, 1963, in Warren. He preceded her in death.
Survivors include two daughters, Pamela (Bill) Martin and Michelle (Jim) Williams, both of Warren; two sisters, Reatha Conner and Barbara Linnemeier, both of Fort Wayne; a brother, Gary (Carolyn) Fuller, of Fort Wayne; five grandchildren, Tricia (Jeff) Jones, of Hope, Ryan (Patty) Martin, of Richfield, OH, Kelly (Mike) Cady, of Bluffton, Mandy Cady, of Warren, and Rebecca (Keith) Elwood, of Maryville, TN; 25 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one granddaughter and one great-grandson.
Calling will take place on Wednesday, Sept. 15, 2021, from 4 to 8 p.m., at Warren Church of Christ, Warren.
A funeral service will take place on Thursday, Sept. 16, 2021, at 10 a.m., at the church, with Rev. Gerald Moreland and Rev. Ethan Stivers officiating.
Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Warren.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Glancy-H. Brown & Son Funeral Home in Warren.
