Larry Edward “Uncle Larry” Embree, 80, of Warren, IN, died Sunday, Sept. 12, 2021, at Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home in Fort Wayne.
Mr. Embree attended Jefferson High School. He joined the GE apprentice program and would continue on to work at Dana, GE and would retire from International Harvester, now known as Navistar.
He was born on Oct. 29, 1940, in Bristol, to Ralph and Thelma Lee Embree. He married Karen Reimer on June 6, 1976. She survives in Warren.
Additional survivors include a son, Jeffrey (Tammy) Embree, of Butler; a daughter, Amy (Christopher) Hershey, of Indianapolis; three sisters, Beverly Grotrian, of Fort Wayne, Shelia Aul, of Warren, and Karen Reber, of Huntington; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Mark Embree.
Calling will take place on Saturday, Sept. 25, 2021, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Glancy-H. Brown & Son Funeral Home, 203 N. Matilda St., Warren. Following the calling, everyone is invited to a meal at the farm. Casual dress is preferred.
