Debra J. Millican, 69, of Huntington, IN, died Sunday, Sept. 12, 2021, at 9:49 p.m., at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne.
Mrs. Millican attended Huntington North High School. She retired from Pyle Industries after 20 years of service.
She was born on Jan. 9, 1952 in Huntington, to Paul Helwig and Vera Bowers Helwig. She married Darel Ed Millican on Sept. 30, 1970, in Andrews. He preceded her in death on June 23, 2006. She was engaged to Thomas Koontz who also preceded her in death.
Survivors include a daughter, Kim (Russ) Miller, of Huntington; two sons, Kent Millican, of Peru, and Kyle Millican, of Huntington; two step-daughters, Heather (Alicia) Koontz, of Huntington, and Audra (Lee) Cecil, of High Point, NC; a brother, Richard (Sharon) Helwig, of Angola; two grandsons, Cory (Emily) Smith, of Huntington, and Cody (Leanna) Smith, of Huntington; and five great-grandchildren.
Calling will take place on Wednesday, Sept. 15, 2021, from 3 to 7 p.m., at Bailey-Love Mortuary, Huntington.
A funeral service will take place on Thursday, Sept. 16, 2021, at 10 a.m., at the funeral home with Rev. Micah Mobley officiating. There will be one hour of calling prior to the service.
Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery in Huntington.
