Kenneth Wayne Moriarity Sr., 75, of Adams County, IN, and with ties to Warren, IN, died Wednesday, Sept. 15, 2021, at 8:35 a.m., at Persimmon Ridge in Portland.
Mr. Moriarity was a 1964 graduate of Jackson High School in Wells County. As a Jaguar he played basketball, baseball and ran track and cross country. He had worked for Corning Glass in Bluffton and Chrysler Corp in Kokomo. He was a member of the U.A.W. He formerly played on the Dillman Church softball team.
He was born on Friday, May 30, 1946, in Marion, to Ora and Mabel Herring Moriarity.
Survivors include a son, Kenneth W. (Tasha) Moriarity, Jr., of Kentucky; a daughter, Nicole (Tony) Ingram, of Portland; three siblings, Margaret Lee, of Warren, Nanda (James) Perry, of Warren, and Howard Moriarity, of Bluffton; eight grandchildren, Ashlynn Aderman, of Iron Mountain, MI, Mackenzie Jennings, of Decatur, Shelby Moriarity, of Warren, Alexis Moriarity, of Warren, Taylor Westlund, of Warren, Sherman French, of Kentucky, Michaelle Morarity, of Kentucky, and Christa Moriarity, of Kentucky; and seven great-grandchildren.
Calling will take place on Friday, Sept. 17, 2021, from 3 to 8 p.m., at Downing & Glancy Funeral Home, 100 N. Washington St., Geneva.
A celebration of life service will take place on Saturday, Sept. 18, 2021, at 10:30 a.m., at the funeral home, with Cameron Penrod officiating.
Interment will follow in the Jones Cemetery in Warren. Military rites will be conducted by the U.S. Air Force.
