Sally Ann Truitt, 86, of Fort Wayne, IN, and formerly of Roanoke, IN, died Monday, Sept. 20, 2021, at 2:18 p.m., at Parkview Hospital Randallia.
Mrs. Truitt was a 1953 graduate of Huntington High School. She retired from Supermarket Services in 1997 after 20 years of service. She was also a member of the Pleasant Chapel Church of Roanoke.
She was born on Aug. 19, 1935, in Willoughby, OH, to Arlo and Iva Spohn Shroyer. She married Thomas L. Truitt on July 6, 1958, in Huntington. He survives in Fort Wayne.
Additional survivors include a son, John Thomas (Jill) Truitt, of Fort Wayne; a daughter, Julia Ann (John) Wegmann, of Andrews; a sister, Jane (Richard) Winkelman, of Huntington; two grandsons, Brandon Wegmann, of Charlotte, NC, and John Truitt, of Fort Wayne; two granddaughters, Kari Wegmann, of Fort Wayne, and Sara Wegmann, of Fort Wayne; and two great-granddaughters.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Joyce Yvonne Truitt.
Calling will take place on Friday, Sept. 24, 2021, from noon to 2 p.m., at Bailey-Love Mortuary, Huntington. A funeral service will immediately follow with Rev. Joel Yeager officiating.
Burial will be in Pilgrims Rest Cemetery in Huntington.
