Karen K. Fausz, 81, of Mesa, AZ, and formerly of Huntington County, IN, died Saturday, Oct. 9, 2021, at her residence.
She was a 1958 graduate of Jefferson High School. She was a homemaker and travel agent. In her early years she was a Sunday School teacher and helped in the nursery. She became a full-time volunteer and teacher’s aide for nearly 20 years at Mendoza Elementary and Stevenson Elementary in Mesa, AZ. She served on the Missions Council and was a forwarding agent for a missionary family. She most recently attended Broadway Christian Church in Mesa.
She was born on Sept. 1, 1940, in Union Township, Huntington County, to Howard and Helen (Thomas) Cone. She married William C. Fausz on Oct. 23, 1959, in Warren. He survives.
Additional survivors include a daughter, Deb DiGirolamo, of Mesa, AZ; a sister, Carol (Bryant) Craig, of Huntington; a brother, Jerry D. Cone, of Phoenix, AZ; and two grandsons, Steven (Kristian) DiGirolamo, of Mesa, AZ, and Michael DiGirolamo, of Oklahoma City, OK.
She was preceded in death by a son, Ted W. Fausz, and a daughter, Monica M. Fausz.
Calling will take place on Saturday, Oct. 16, 2021, from 1 to 2 p.m., at Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel. A funeral service will immediately follow. Those in attendance are asked to follow state and CDC guidelines for COVID-19.
Interment will be at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Marion.
