Michael E. Gee, 71, of Auburn, IN, and with ties to Huntington, IN, died Tuesday, Oct. 26, 2021, at Atrium Health Pineville in Charlotte, NC.
Mr. Gee was a police office for the city of Auburn for 22 years, retiring in 1995. He was also a member of the Dekalb County FOP Lodge 196.
He was born on Aug. 24, 1950, in Fort Wayne, to Frederick and Annabelle Gee. He was married to Jonnie Gee, formerly of Huntington. She preceded him in death.
Survivors include a son, Brian (Missy) Gee, of Fort Wayne; a daughter, Melanie (Edwin) Colon-Medina, of Matthews, NC; a sister, Cathy Cook, of Auburn; four grandchildren, Brandon Gee, Brody Gee, Solanna Colon-Medina and Christian Colon-Medina.
Calling will take place on Friday, Nov. 5, 2021, from 2 to 4 p.m. and again from 6 to 8 p.m., at Pinnington Funeral & Cremation Services, 502 N. Main St., Auburn.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 6, 2021, at Saint Michael Catholic Church, 1098 CR 39, Waterloo, with Rev. Vincent Joseph, VC officiating. There will be one hour of calling prior to the service.
Burial will be in Saint Michael Catholic Cemetery, Waterloo.
Memorials may be made to Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana or to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
