James E. “Butch” Foster Jr., 73, of Huntington, IN, died Sunday, Oct. 31, 2021, at his home.
Mr. Foster attended Bippus Public Schools and was a U.S. Army Vietnam veteran. He was a lifetime Huntington and Warren area resident except for two years in Somerset, KY. He formerly worked at Warren Auto Plaza in Warren as a fueler and janitor for 24 years. He formerly attended the Church of God in Huntington.
He was born on March 9, 1948, in Huntington, to James E. and June M. Funderburg Foster Sr. He married Margaret C. “Maggie” Bradley Trainer on March 29, 1974, in Huntington. She preceded him in death on June 2, 2015.
Survivors include three sons, James (Glenda) Foster III, Jesse (Angela) Foster, and Lee (Susan) Trainer III, all of Huntington; a brother, Mike (Gloria) Foster, of Huntington; three half brothers, Tom (Julie) Niemann, of Goblesville, Brent Foster, of Huntington, and Carlton “Jodie” Niemann, of Bluffton; six half sisters, Karen (Phil) Welty, of Wabash, Carol (Steve) Swaim, of Rockville, and Dee Dee Foster, Brenda Foster, Sue Niemann and Debbie (Dan) Driscal, all of Huntington; and eight grandchildren.
Calling will take place on Friday, Nov. 5, 2021, from 11 a.m. to noon, at the Gardens of Memory Serenity Chapel, 11201 S. Marion Road - 35 in Marion. Military graveside services will follow at noon at the cemetery. Owen Family Funeral Home, Ind.-13 and CR 500N, North Webster, is in charge of arrangements.
