Jean E. Redding, 94, of Warren, IN, and formerly of Huntington, IN, died Tuesday, Nov. 9, 2021, at 5:12 a.m., at Heritage Pointe, Warren.
Mrs. Redding graduated from Union Township High School and worked in accounting at Triad-Utrad (later Magnetek) for 28 years, retiring in 1992. She was a former member of Evangelical United Methodist Church.
She was born Dec. 29, 1926, in Huntington County, to John and Lesta M. Caley Bartrom. She married Richard J. Redding on June 9, 1946, in Huntington. He preceded her in death on Oct. 9, 1988.
Survivors include a son, Steven B. (Carolyn) Redding, of Huntington; a daughter, Michele R. (Gregory) Baxter, of Indianapolis; a son-in-law, Mark Potter, of Indianapolis; a half-brother, Dennis (Jennie) Kelly, of North Carolina; a sister, Donna Mae Turner, of Arkansas; and four grandchildren, Brandon Baxter, Joel (Erin) Redding, Jeremy (Lao) Redding and Stephanie (Jonathan) Couch.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Cheri D. Potter.
Calling will take place on Friday, Nov. 12, 2021, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Deal-Rice Funeral Home- Huntington Chapel, with a funeral service to immediately follow. Rev. Zack Working will officiate.
Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory.
