Roger D. Woehler, 74, of Warren, IN, died Saturday, Nov. 13, 2021, at 10:15 p.m., at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne.
Mr. Woehler attended Lancaster High School in Huntington County. He was a Sergeant in the Army and served from July of 1966 to July of 1968, after which he remained in the reserves until 1972. He was a material handler at Majestic in Huntington for 36 years before his retirement in 2009. He also worked as a part-time farmer and enjoyed the outdoors.
He was born on March 20, 1947, in Huntington County, to Fred H. and Darl R. Hensel Woehler. He married Sharon L. Fisher on Jan. 20, 1968, in Markle. She survives.
Additional survivors include three daughters, Carla D. Woehler, of Warren, Robin (Jeff) Douglas, of Warren, and Amber (Nick) Shady, of Hartford City; a son, Shane (Misty) Woehler, of Warren; a brother, Rick (Jane) Woehler, of Huntington; a sister, Connie (Jim) Helvie, of Huntington; and four grandchildren, Brayden Shady and Keylee Shady, both of Hartford City, and Gary Ingram and Craig Woehler, both of Warren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Brett A. Woehler.
Calling will take place on Tuesday, Nov. 16, 2021, from 5 to 8 p.m., at Hillcrest Church of the Nazarene: New Life Center, 402 E. 1st St., Warren, and again from 11 a.m. to noon on Wednesday, Nov. 17, 2021. A funeral service will immediately follow on Wednesday with Rev. Steve Spencer officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to Glancy-H. Brown & Son Funeral Home in Warren.
Burial will follow at Lancaster Cemetery in Huntington County with military rites performed.
