Nancy Kay Coverstone

Nancy Kay Coverstone, 82, of Pierceton, IN, and with ties to Huntington, IN, died Saturday, Nov. 13, 2021, at 1:44 a.m., at her residence.

Mrs. Coverstone attended Huntington High School and was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene. She retired as a line worker from Tenneco Automotive after 19 years of service. She also worked at Memcore and Washington Products.

She was born on March 4, 1939, in Huntington, to Richard and Loretta Peterson Shenefield.

Survivors include a daughter, Carissa A. (Arlen Deano Brennaman) Coverstone, of Pierceton; three sons, Rex Coverstone, of Ormas, Denny (Jim Beatty) Coverstone, of Fort Wayne, and Jeff (Robyn) Coverstone, of Columbia City; a sister, Madge Rodgers, of Seymour; two brothers, Sam (Carol) Shenefield, of Huntington, and Ed (Serena) Shenefield, of Huntington; and seven grandchildren, Amber Coverstone, Melissa Rice, Keith Leas, Kevin Coverstone, Jason Coverstone, Macie Tharp and Bryce Tharp; and a great-grandson.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Stephen Koontz and Travis Coverstone.

Calling will take place on Friday, Nov. 19, 2021, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Bailey-Love Mortuary, Huntington. A funeral service will immediately follow with Rev. Gene Vickery officiating.

Burial will be in Andrews Riverside Cemetery in Andrews.
