Cheryl S. Covey, 75, of Huntington, died Thursday, Nov. 18, 2021, at 5:12 a.m., at Markle Health & Rehabilitation.
Mrs. Covey attended Ossian High School. She worked for Magnetek of Huntington for over 30 years and retired from Wabash Technologies after nine years of service.
She was born on Oct. 18, 1946, in Huntington, to Russell and Kathryn Miller Hare. She married Thomas F. Covey on April 6, 1968, in Murray. He preceded her in death on May 26, 2021.
Survivors include three sons, Russel S. Covey, of Fort Wayne, Thomas W. Covey Jr., of Huntington, and Mark A. (Karen) Covey, of Huntington; a daughter, Laura L. (Jan) Howard, of Fort Wayne; two sisters, Diana Shaw, of Bluffton, and Julie (Michael) Wall, of Huntington; two brothers, John (Wink) Hare, of Andrews, and Daryl (Brenda) Hare, of Auburn; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Katheryn L. Covey.
Calling will take place on Sunday, Nov. 21, 2021, from 4 to 6 p.m., at Bailey-Love Mortuary, Huntington. A funeral service will immediately follow with Rev. Mounsey Jody officiating.
Burial will be in Lancaster Cemetery at a later date.
