Carol Irene Gregerson, 71, of Van Buren, IN, and with family ties to Huntington, IN, died Saturday, Dec. 4, 2021, at 6:33 p.m., at Miller’s Merry Manor in Marion.
Ms. Gregerson was a nature photographer and a seamstress. Recently, Ms. Gregerson was honored by her denomination at the Van Buren Indiana Church of the Nazarene for a lifetime of dedication. She was a volunteer and past president of the Women’s Christian Temperance Union. She spent the majority of her career working at General Plastics/GP Designs, in Marion, retiring in 2015 after 42 years as production manager.
She was born on Nov. 13, 1950, in Hayward, WI, to Vincent Leroy and Betty Carol Fegan Gregerson. She was previously married to Arnold (Tammy) Reneer. He survives in St. Paris, OH.
Additional survivors include two daughters, Angela Reneer, of Indianapolis, and Brinda Johnson, of Van Buren; two sisters, Michele (Rex) Banter, of Dillman, and Gail (Terry) Keating, of Traskwood, AR; three brothers, Roy (Karen) Gregerson, of Frankfurt, Robert (Sarah) Gregerson, of Greensburg, PA, and Michael (Karolee) Gregerson, of Huntington; two grandchildren, Heather Jones, of Anderson, and Scott (Alyssa) Reneer, of Indianapolis; and three great-granddaughters.
She was preceded in death by an infant son, James Allen Reneer.
A memorial gathering will take place on Saturday, Dec. 18, 2021, from 5 to 8 p.m., at the House at Matter Park Gardens, 1 Matter Park Circle, Marion. Arrangements have been entrusted to Ferguson Glancy of Van Buren.
Memorials may be made to the Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis, Miller’s Merry Manor of Marion or Visiting Nurse Hospice of Fort Wayne.
