Thomas Lee Baker

Thomas Lee Baker, 90, of Huntington, IN, died Sunday, Dec. 19, 2021, at 8:52 a.m., at Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home of Fort Wayne.
    
Mr. Baker graduated from Lagro High School with the class of 1951. He was drafted into the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War. He retired from Marion Dana Corporation after 35 years of service.  He was a member of the United Steel Workers Chapter 4-1 and a 22-year member at the American Legion Post No. 248.

He was born on Oct. 23, 1931, in Lagro, to Frank and Janie Moore Baker. He married Bonnie L. Smuts on Aug. 21, 1954, in Huntington. She preceded him in death on June 21, 2019.
                                                
Survivors include two daughters, Melinda L. Baker, of Huntington, and Melissa Baker, of Huntington; two sons, Mike France, of Fort Wayne, and Terry France, of Ormond Beach, FL; seven grandchildren, Todd (Sara) France, Traci (John Paul) Rivera, Matt France, Stephanie Andrews, Maria Martin, Tony Baker and Tosha Rumple; and 17 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, Tom Baker.

A celebration of life service will take place on Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2021, from 2 to 4 p.m., at Bailey-Love Mortuary, Huntington.

Burial will be in Andrews Riverside Cemetery at a later date.
