Kenneth Wilburn Rippy

Kenneth Wilburn Rippy, 93, of Warren, IN, died Saturday, Jan. 1, 2022, at 10:55 a.m., at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne.  

Mr. Rippy was a graduate of Duplo Illionis High School. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He retired in 1993 from General Motors in Fort Wayne. He was a member of the Hillcrest Nazarene Church in Warren.

He was born on Aug. 19, 1928, in East St. Louis, IL. He was first married to Betty Rippy, who preceded him in death on April 7, 1988. He then married Donna Rippy, who preceded him in death on May 13, 2020.

Survivors include a daughter, Sandra Rippy, of Warren; a son, Clinton Rippy, of Andrews; a sister, Ruth (Dale) Johnson, of Galesburg, IL; five grandchildren, Michael (Charlette) Langston, of Huntington, Nicole (Robert) Maxfield, of Warren, Stephen Langston, of Warren, David (Crystal) Womack, of Huntington, and Joy Ann Henry, of Huntington; 19 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Wayne “Bo” Rippy on Dec. 8, 2013.

Calling will take place on Friday, Jan. 7, 2022, from 2 to 5 p.m., at Glancy - H. Brown & Son Funeral Home, 203 N. Matilda St., Warren. A celebration of life service will immediately follow with Rev. William Taylor and Rev. Steven Spencer officiating.

Interment will take place on Monday, Jan. 10, 2022, at 1 p.m., in the Lakeview Memorial Gardens in Fairview Heights, IL.
