Clarence Richard Highley

Clarence Richard Highley, 89, of Warren, IN, died Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2022, at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne.

Mr. Highley graduated from Jefferson High School in 1950. He served in the U.S. Army from 1951 to 1954. He retired from Dana Corporation in Marion after 34 years. He was also a lifelong farmer. He was a member of the American Legion in Van Buren.

He was born on Oct. 17, 1932, to Ralph and Opal Shelton Highley. He married Alta Droke on Nov. 12, 1955, in Warren. She survives in Warren.

Additional survivors include two sons, Terry Highley and Larry (Janis) Highley, both of Warren; a daughter, Nancy (Greg) Keller, of Warren, IN; a sister, Agatha Miller, of Warren; five grandchildren, Chad (Kari) Highley, Justine (Ralph) Gates, Aaron (Annalise) Highley, Garrett Keller and Brian (Jessica) Highley; and five great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will take place on Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2022, at 11:30 a.m., at Woodlawn Cemetery in Warren. Rev. Steve Durrwachter will officiate. Arrangements are being handled by Glancy-H. Brown & Son Funeral Home in Warren.
