James Edward Biddle

James Edward Biddle, 82, of Huntington, IN, died Sunday, Jan. 23, 2022, at 6:54 p.m., at his residence.

Mr. Biddle graduated from Huntington Township High School in 1958. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps as a Sergeant. He retired from Dana Spicer Axel Division after 14 years and worked for Essex in Andrews for nine years and at International Harvester for 10 years. He was a member of the VFW Post No. 2689, American Legion Post No. 7, Eagles and the Moose, all in Huntington.

He was born on Nov. 17, 1939, in Huntington, to James and Anna Farthing Biddle. He married Shannon L. Scudder on July 16, 1977, in Huntington. She survives in Huntington.

Additional survivors inclcude a daughter, Vicki Baker, of Huntington; two step daughters, Theresa (Rick) Dailey, of Huntington, and Tracie (Allen) Perry, of St. Petersburg, FL; a step son, Troy (LouAnn) Ross, of Elkhart; a brother, Glenn Biddle, of Wabash; a sister, Ruby (Joe) Hanig, of Phoenix, AZ; 13 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Lori A. Stouder, and a son, Jeffery A. Biddle.

Calling will take place on Thursday, Jan. 27, 2022, from 10 a.m. to noon, at Bailey-Love Mortuary, Huntington. A funeral service will immediately follow with Rev. Worlie Newsome Jr. officiating.

Military Honors will be conducted by VFW Post No. 2689 Honor Guard.
