Gerry Lee Lane, 75, of Huntington, IN, died Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2022, at 2:22 a.m., at Bluffton Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Lane worked as a security guard and was a member of the Eagles Lodge No. 823 and the American Legion Post No. 85, both of Huntington.
He was born on Dec. 29, 1946, in Huntington, to Harold Lane and Betty M. Biddle. He was formerly married to Garnet S. Lane, of Huntington. She survives.
Additional survivors include two daughters, Penny L. (Micheal) Vebert, of Anderson, and Mellissa (John Vota) Williams, of Jamestown, NY; two sons, Eric Lane, of Marion, OH, and William Howard, of Logansport; three brothers, Jim Lane of Tennessee, Lewis (Dixie) Lane, of Mason City, IA, and Steve (Nancy) Lane, of Mason City, IA; a step brother, Dennis (Brenda) Ross, of Huntington; a sister, Diana Sabel, of Mason City, IA; 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two grandsons, Dallas Vebert and Christopher Trease.
A memorial service will take plaec on Friday, Feb. 4, 2022, at 2 p.m, at the American Legion Post No. 85, 1410 S. Jefferson St., Huntington.
