Waldo Knight

Waldo Knight, 83, of Warren, IN, died Friday, Jan. 28, 2022, at 5:55 a.m., at Markle Health & Rehabilitation in Markle.

Mr. Knight graduated from Warren High School in 1957, then received a scholarship to a Purdue Ag short course for dairy production. He was a member of the Warren United Church of Christ. He was part of the Boehmer Men's Bicycle Group – Cycles for Christ. In addition to farming in Huntington County all of his life, he was the owner of K&S Construction for over 36 years and previously worked at Wayne Metals. He was a member of the Huntington County Cattlemen’s Association and served on the Huntington County 4-H Fair Board for several years.

He was born on Jan. 15, 1939, in Jefferson Township, Huntington County, to Mark C. and Margaret M. Poulson Knight. He married Margaret J. (Hoch) Knight on June 7, 1958, at Boehmer United Methodist Church. She survives in Warren.

Additional survivors include five children, Terry (Sherry) Knight, of Van Buren, Lowell (Karen) Knight, of Warren, Denise (Dale) Beck, of Van Buren, Stacia (Paul) Henderson, of Bluffton, and Korisa (Jeremy) Kreiling, of Hot Springs, AR; two sisters, Carol (William) Byrd, of Huntington, and Cindy (Tim) Fitch, of Warren; 18 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one great-grandchild.

Calling will take place today, Monday, Jan. 31, 2022, from 4 to 8 p.m., at Warren United Church of Christ, 202 E. 2nd St., Warren, and again on Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2022, from 10 to 11 a.m., with a funeral service to follow. Rev. Harold Smith and Rev. Troy Drayer will officiate. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory in Marion. Arrangements have been entrusted to Glancy-H. Brown & Son Funeral Home in Warren.
