Kenneth Eugene Eller, 80, of Fort Wayne, and with family ties to Huntington, died Monday, Feb. 7, 2022, at Miller’s Merry Manor.
Mr. Eller graduated from Lancaster Township High School with the class of 1959. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1961 to 1965 and was employed with Celotex for many years. He was also employed as a referee and umpire for high school and college basketball and baseball. Later, he drove for the Amish community.
He was born on May 8, 1941, in Kalamazoo, MI, to Raymond and Hildegard Swackhammer Eller.
Survivors include two daughters, Tammy (Marcus) Williams, of Daytona Beach, FL, and Susan Felder, of Okeechobee, FL; three brothers, Raymond “Keith” (Mary Ann) Eller, of Huntington, Ronald (Karen) Eller of Kokomo, and Steven (Cathy Stubbs) Eller, of Belleville, IL; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Johnny Tucker, and a daughter, Regina Shaw.
A funeral service will take place today, Thursday, Feb. 17, 2022, at 2 p.m., at Advantage Highland Park, 2403 E. Wallen Road, Fort Wayne, with calling two hours prior.
