Kathryn A. Craig

Kathryn Ann Craig, 89, of Huntington, IN, died Sunday, July 18, 2010, at 12:25 a.m. at Miller's Merry Manor in Huntington.

Mrs. Craig graduated from Huntington High School in 1937. She farmed with her husband in Clear Creek Township. She was a 4-H leader, a charter member of the Happy Homemakers Extension Club and a past president of the Huntington County Extension Homemakers. She was a lifelong member of the Church of the Brethren.

She was born Nov. 14, 1920, in Huntington to George and Elsie Ulrich Saunders. She married William E. Craig on July 14, 1940. Her husband preceded her in death in March 2002.

Survivors include a son, James W. (Donna) Craig, of Huntington; a daughter, Judy (John) Michel, of Huntington; a brother George (Pat) Saunders, of Avon Lake, OH; six grandchildren, Jody L. Weber, of Troy, OH; Jeffery L. Michel, of Shelbyville; Joel L. (Lisa) Michel, of Fishers; Jill L. (Kevin) Jamison and Michael W. Craig, both of Huntington; and Todd A. (Mindy) Craig, of Fort Wayne; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Calling is Tuesday, July 20, 2010, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 W. Park Drive, Huntington. A service will be held on Wednesday, July 21, 2010, at 10 a.m. at the mortuary, with Rev. Barry Belknap officiating. Burial will be at the Beech Grove Cemetery, Huntington County.
