Nancy E. Cook

Nancy E. Cook, 82, of Warren, IN, died on Sunday, March 27, 2022.

Mrs. Cook graduated from Van Buren High School in 1958 and from Taylor University in 1975 before receiving her master’s degree from Ball State University. She worked for Eastbrook Schools for 29 years. She was a member of the Grant County Retired Teachers Association. She was a member of the Van Buren United Methodist Church.

She was born on March 27, 1940, in Huntington, to Leon and Corda Moon Welsh.  She was married to Bernard W. Cook.  He preceded her in death.

Survivors include two daughters, Deborah (Keith) Spaulding, of Fairmount and Kelly Herring, of Fort Wayne; a son, Matthew (Colleen) Cook, of Fishers; seven grandchildren, Amanda (Dave) Russell, Kristi DeRossett, Jessica (Logan) Skorusa, Bernard W. Cook II, Mackenzie (Zach) McClain, Samuel Cook and Adam Cook and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death a son, John W. Cook.

Calling will take place at Van Buren United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall on Thursday, March 31, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.  Additional calling will take place on Friday, April 1, 2022, from 10 to 11 a.m. with funeral services immediately following at the Van Buren UMC Fellowship Hall. Rev. Brad Hensley will officiate.

Burial will be at Gardens of Memory in Marion.
