Lawrence Leroy Hansen, 81, of Huntington, died on Thursday, March 31, 2022, at 12:30 p.m., at Parkview Hospital Randallia.
Mr. Hansen graduated from Wabash High School with the Class of 1960. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He retired from Ormsby Trucking in Uniondale after 50 years of service. He was a lifetime member of American Legion Post No. 160 in Roanoke.
He was born on Dec. 7, 1940, in Wabash to Elmer Hansen and Ruby Yost Hansen. He married Pamala L. Smith on Feb. 9, 1985, in Springfield, TN. She survives him in Huntington.
Additional survivors include three Daughters, Gail (David) Sopher, of Chillicothe, OH, Tina (Heath) Clark, of Wabash and Judy Ziner, of Wabash; two Sons, Rick (Sara) Hansen, of Bluffton and Steve (Belinda) Spear, of Conroe, TX; a sister, Elaine Hutton, of Wabash; a brother-in-law, John Ply, of Wabash; eight grandchildren, Tiffany (Johnny) Hines, Tyson (Caliann) Wuensch, Trenton Wuensch, Erika Ziner, Emily Hansen, Ruby Hansen, Alysa Spear and Scott Spear and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Eric Hansen, and a grandson, Eric Sopher.
Burial was at Gardens of Memory in Marion.
