Ralph J. Coffield, 80, of Huntington, died on Saturday, April 9, at his residence.
Mr. Coffield was a high school graduate and served in the U.S. Army as a typist/clerk. He was a truck driver and worked for DTF/Dana in Fort Wayne. He was a member of the Eagles Lodge in Bluffton and the American Legion.
He was born on May 31, 1941, in Blackford County, to Ralph and Mary Bedwell Coffield. He married Linda K. Tschannen. She preceded him in death.
Survivors include two sons, Bill (Gladys) Coffield, of Craigville and Norman (Mary) Coffield, of Bluffton; three daughters, Lin Coffield, of Berne, Joy Coffield, of Berne and Kelli Coffield, of Andrews; two brothers, Max Coffield, of Huntington and John (Dolores) Roberts, of Huntington; one sister, Mary Kay (Roger) Stine, of Hartford City, 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Burial will be at Star of Hope Cemetery in Huntington.
