Marsha L. Thomas, 93, of Markle, died on Sunday, April 24, at Markle Health and Rehab in Markle.
Mrs. Thomas was a 1947 graduate of West Rock Creek High School. She attended International Business College. She worked at Guardian Photo Lab, Fort Wayne International Airport and Culligan Water in Bluffton. She and her husband were grain and dairy farmers. She was a member of Psi Iota Xi Alpha Nu Sorority. She was a lifetime member of Markle United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Markle Historical Society and helped start the Wabash Valley Grange.
She was born on March 24, 1929, in Bluffton, to Paul and Grace Eichorn Brickley. She married William M. “Bill” Thomas on November 24, 1949, in Markle. He preceded her in death. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Jodi Schmits.
Survivors include a daughter, Phylian (Ralph) Keefer, of Markle; two sons, Dennis Thomas, of Markle and Steve (Christine) Thomas ,of Markle; five grandchildren, Jami McNiece, Brooke Thomas, Derek Thomas, Peter Buccilli, Paula Wood and 13 great-grandchildren.
Calling will take place on Thursday, April 28, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. with funeral services immediately following at the Myers Funeral Home Markle Chapel.
Burial will be at Horeb Cemetery in Uniondale.
