
Carolyn Williams, 83, of Huntington, died May 4, in Huntington at her son’s residence.
Mrs. Williams was a 1956 graduate of Roanoke High School. She was a homemaker and worked at various jobs. She was a member of the South Broadway Church of Christ in Huntington.
She was born Dec. 28, 1938, in New Hope, Arkansas, to Samuel and Katie Shields McBay. She married Robert D. Williams April 17, 1960. He preceded her in death.
Survivors include four children, Perry (Diane) Williams, of Huntington, Tracy Williams, of Fort Wayne, John (Helen) Williams, of Huntington and Charlene Hall, of Huntington; a brother, Calvin (Gloria) McBay, of New Hope, Arkansas; five sisters, Barbara (Chuck) Pearson, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Edith (David) Coffman, of New Hope, Arkansas, Fran (Dan) Baumgardner, of Ossian, Emma Nesbit, of Sun City, Arizona and Millie Stoppenhagen, of Noblesville; five grandchildren, Aimee (Philip) Morton, Marcus Hall, Andrew Williams, Samuel Williams and Nathan Williams; and five great-grandchildren.
Calling will take place May 9, from 9:30 - 11:30 a.m. with funeral services immediately following at McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home.
Burial will be at Gardens of Memory in Marion.
