Juergen Eckert Mauger

Juergen Eckert Mauger, 58, of Huntington, died May 15, at his residence. 

Mr. Mauger attended South Side High School and graduated with the Class of 1982.  He was a chicken farmer and also worked for Alfe Heat Treating Inc., Isolatek International, and General Motors.

He was born Dec. 26, 1963, in Fort Wayne,  to Roger and Elizabeth Hartmann Mauger. They survive him in Fort Wayne. He married Sharon Harber Jan. 3, 1986, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Arcola.  She survives him in Huntington.

Additional survivors include children Christopher (Carrie Brubaker) Mauger, of Fort Wayne, Jeremiah Mauger, Heidi Mauger, and Justin Mauger, all of Huntington; a brother, Joachim Mauger of Prescott Valley, Ariz.; and three grandchildren, Ava Mauger, Clayton Mauger and Gabriel Mauger.

 Calling will take place May 19, 10 a.m. - 2 p.m., with funeral services immediately following, at DeMoney-Grimes Funeral Home in Columbia City.

Burial will be at Mount Calvary Cemetery in Huntington.

Memorial may be made to American Diabetes Association, or to the family for his grandchildren's education.
