Iris E. Hunter, 94, of Huntington, died May 15, at Heritage Pointe of Huntington, IN.
Mrs. Hunter graduated from North Webster High School with the class of 1946. She worked on the family farm. She was a member of the Faith Chapel Women’s Circle, Happy Homemakers, and Faith Chapel United Methodist Church. She taught Sunday school at Beech Grove E.U.B.
She was born Jan. 28, 1928, in Kimmell, to Raymond Prentice and Sarah Elizabeth Galloway Prentice. She married Dean A. Hunter April 10, 1949, in Noble County. He preceded her in death.
Survivors include four daughters, Karen S. (James E.) Morton, of Huntington, Brenda J. (Michael) Cloud, of Rochester, Rita K. (Jeffrey) Brankle, of Huntington, and Sheila R. (Troy) Whitacre, of Huntington; 11 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.
Calling will take place May 21, 11 a.m. – 2 p.m., with funeral services immediately following, at Bailey-Love Mortuary. Rev. Jason Parsons will officiate.
Burial will be at Beech Grove Cemetery in Huntington.
