LeRoy D. “Tony” Worthington, 84, of Bluffton, died May 19, at Stillwater Hospice Home in Fort Wayne.
Mr. Worthington attended Huntington Community Schools. He worked at Franklin Electric in Bluffton for 33 years. He attended Liberty Center United Methodist Church.
He was born March 19, 1938, in Huntington, to Laurence and Fairy CoveyWorthington. He married Jill A. Brower July 31, 1998, in Townsend, Tenn. She survives in Bluffton.
Additional survivors include daughters Bonnie (Steve) Hines, of Huntington, Julia (Steve) Prible and Tonya (James) Ragg, both of Bluffton; stepsons Jeff (Carol) Hildebrant, of Poneto, and Travis (Stephanie) Shane, of Berne; a brother-in-law, Jed Brower, of Monticello; a daughter-in-law, Candi Worthington; 22 grandchildren, 51 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sons, Scott Worthington and Larry Worthington; a daughter, Tina Foster; and a step-daughter, Sanja Shane.
A private family service will be held at Liberty Center United Methodist Church with Rev. Diane Samuels and Rev. Solomon Robles officiating.
Burial will take place at Grove Cemetery in Poneto.
Arrangements are being handled by Thoma/Rich, Lemler Funeral Home in Bluffton.
