Douglas E. Adams

Douglas E. Adams, 77, of Wabash, with ties to Huntington, died June 1, at Wellbrooke of Wabash.

Mr. Adams was a 1962 graduate of Wabash High School. He was a member of St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in Wabash and Knights of Columbus No. 2957. He was active in various Wabash community organizations. He was honored as Distinguished Citizen of the Year in 2020.

He was born to Wayne B. and Delores Bates Adams on June 21, 1944, in Wabash. He married Cherryl Christman July 31, 1965. She preceded him in death.

He is survived by his sons Anthony D. (Melinda) Adams, of Wabash, Christopher W. (Angela) Adams, of Huntington, and Justin P. (Misty) Adams, of Wabash; eight grandchildren; and four great- grandchildren.

Calling will take place June 5, 2 – 6 p.m. with Recitation of the Rosary at 5:30 p.m., at McDonald Funeral Home in Wabash.

Funeral services will take place June 6, at 10 a.m., at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Wabash, with Fr.Levi Nkwocha officiating.

Burial will take place at Falls Cemetery.
