Wendell Bolding, 65, of Huntington, passed away at 9:01 a.m. Wednesday, June 22, 2022, at his residence.
Wendell was born on Dec. 5, 1956, in Huntington, the son of Emory Bolding and Dorothy (Mygrant) Bolding. He married Mary Asher.
He was employed at Huntington Lab for many years. He loved driving his dump truck and talking to everyone about it, going on walks in the neighborhood, and watching TV.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Asher of Huntington; daughter, Amy J. (Christopher Herring) Bolding of Huntington; son, Justin Slone of Huntington; six brothers, Emory (Lana) Bolding Jr. of Huntington, Donnie (Kay) Bolding of Huntington, Mance (Paula) Bolding of Angola, Paul (Shari) Bolding of Huntington, Jerry Bolding of Huntington, and Terry (Vicki) Bolding of Huntington; three sisters, Susie (Douglas) Henry of Huntington, Dian (Denny) Whiteleather of Fort Wayne, and Paula (Kenny) Brockhaus of Huntington; three granddaughters, Lacie Marie Hunnicutt of Huntington, Jacie Jean Herring of Huntington, and Christine Hiday of Huntington.
He is preceded in death by his daughter, Wendy Bolding, daughter, Pruide Slone, father, Emory Bolding Sr., mother, Dorothy Bolding, and sister-in-law, Donna K. Bolding.
Visitation was Saturday, June 25, 2022, at Bailey-Love Mortuary, 35 W. Park Drive, Huntington. Funeral services will be held at 5 p.m. Saturday, June 25, 2022, at Bailey-Love Mortuary with Pastor Worlie Newsome officiating.
