Carolyn J. Knop, 89, of Huntington, passed away on Sunday, June 26, 2022, at St. Anne Victory Noll, Huntington.
Carolyn was born on Oct. 8, 1932, in Huntington, to Earl and Erma (Vollmar) Gephart. Her parents preceded her in death.
Carolyn married John F. Knop on Feb 16, 1974, and he preceded her in death on June 14, 2002.
Carolyn was a 1950 graduate of Huntington High School. She worked at Jones Abstract in Huntington for over 20 years, State-Police & Firefighters Pension, Palmer, Bower, Brewer and Garrett and Matheny & Michel. She was a member of SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Huntington.
Carolyn is survived by two sons, Robert (Charlene) Eckert, Wolf Lake, and Richard Eckert, Albion; two daughters, Susan (William) Forgey, and Pamela (David) Shideler, both of Huntington.
Along with her parents and husband she was preceded in death by four brothers, Wilbur Gephart, George Gephart, Paul Gephart, Edwin Gephart; and two sisters, Marybelle Barnes and Phyllis Kellermier.
A Recitation of the Rosary will take place on Tuesday, July 5, 2022, beginning at 9 a.m. followed by calling hours from 9:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. and a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m., at St. Mary Catholic Church, 903 N. Jefferson Street, Huntington.
Burial will be at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Huntington.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to St. Anne Victory Noll in care of McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson Street, Huntington.
