Hazel L. Cline, 94, of rural Montpelier, passed away at 8:45 a.m. on Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at IU Health-Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie.
She was born on June 25, 1928, in New Castle. She married Albert Cline in 1970 in Swayzee.
Hazel was a 1946 graduate of Chrysler High School in New Castle. She formerly attended the Olive Branch Church and currently attended the Hartford City Wesleyan church. She had attended LPN school and had worked as a nurse at the Blackford County Hospital for 23 years. She had lived at Crown Point since last August. Hazel enjoyed gardening, being outdoors, playing cards, and loved animals. She wintered in Winter Haven, Fla., for many years.
Surviving are her daughter - Carolyn Sue (Cooley) Hammack, Tell City; son - Steven Harrison (Tina) Cooley, Hartford City; daughter - Janet Elizabeth Cooley (Stephen) Jackson, Highland Heights, Ky., son - Daniel Charles (Cindy) Cooley, Naples, Fla.; sister - Elizabeth M. Mastin, New Castle, 12 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and several great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband - Albert Cline, father - Joseph Wilkinson, and mother - Bina (Kirby) Wilkinson.
Visitation was at Walker & Glancy Funeral Home 109 W. Windsor St. Montpelier, on Friday, July 1.
Services were Saturday, July 2, at the funeral home with Pastor John Davey officiating. Interment will follow in the South Mound Cemetery, New Castle.
