Richard “Dick” Lintner

Richard “Dick” Lintner, of Warren, passed away on July 26, 2022, at 9:36 PM at Heritage Pointe in Warren, where he was a resident. He was 87 years old.

He was born on Aug. 10, 1934, to Raymond and Mildred (Smith) Lintner in Huntington, Indiana. He graduated from Huntington High School and continued to receive his bachelor’s degree from Ball State University. Lintner married Nancy E. Repp on Nov. 28, 1957, in Huntington; she preceded him in death on Dec. 18, 2017.

After serving in the U.S. Army in Germany, Lintner made a successful career working at Weaver Popcorn as an executive. He was a Rotary Member and Former President of Associates of Snaxpo. He enjoyed golfing and was often seen golfing with his friends at Heritage Pointe. He and Nancy attended Applegate Chapel at Heritage Pointe. Before their move to Heritage Pointe, they loved to spend the winters on Marco Island, in Florida. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Mildred Lintner and his wife, Nancy Lintner. 

Survivors include his daughter, Julie (Joseph) Eickhoff of Huntertown, IN; son, Michael (Linda) Lintner of Traverse City, MI; grandchildren, Olivia (Gregg) Toy and Lauren (Ryan) Tosland; and great grandchildren, Ava and Carson Toy. 

As per Lintner’s wishes, a private inurnment will be held to lay him to rest next to Nancy at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Huntington, Indiana.
