Carol Ann Manor passed away on July 22, 2022, in Phoenix Arizona, of a sudden illness. Carol was born in Haverhill, Massachusetts to Daniel and Gertrude Chubbuck; the eldest of seven children. As a teenager her family moved to Indiana where she graduated from Huntington High School in 1960. Carol married William Detamore in 1961, and the couple welcomed four children, William, Scott, Michelle, and Brad. Her husband William passed away in 1979.
Carol later found love with Charles Manor, and the two were married in 1998. The couple enjoyed socializing at the local American Legion post and casino trips. Carol also loved crocheting, gardening, puzzles, card games, county music, and hummingbirds. Mostly she cherished activities that included her entire family.
Her husband Chuck survives Carol; she was the love of his life. Also surviving are her four children; sisters Linda, Faye, Sally, and Jayne; as well as her beloved grandchildren and an abundance of great-grandchildren.
Memorial services are being held at the American Legion Post 241, Fort Wayne, at 12 p.m. on Saturday Aug. 27 for family and friends
