Maryann Plasterer

Maryann (Bugajski) Plasterer of Columbia City passed away on Saturday, Aug. 20, 2022, at her home. Her loving and dedicated husband of 55 years, Thomas Orville Plasterer, was by her side during her final m oments.

Maryann was born on May 23, 1946 in Chicago to the late Francis (Frank) Joseph and Victoria Bernice (Sobota) Bugajski. Maryann was the middle child of three sisters.

Surviving family includes her husband Thomas Orville Plasterer whom she married on Aug. 26, 1967; children Ross (Ann) Plasterer, Fort Wayne, Matthew (Heather) Plasterer, Roanoke, and Sarah (David) Weber, Fort Wayne; grandchildren, Austin, Kyle, Adam, Kelsey, Elizabeth, Madison, Mark, Ashley, Faith, Shane, Rachel, Kristen, Gwen, and Grace; and great-grandchild Maya; sister Kathy Bugajski) Reich.

Maryann was preceded in death by her parents Francis (Frank) Joseph and Victoria Bernice (Sobota) Bugajski; daughter Kimberly Ann (Plasterer) Weaver; and sister Patricia Ann (Bugajski) Dwyer.

Maryann enjoyed painting, computers, movies, and being “Dopplar Granny” for the entire family. Maryann loved gardening and her numerous flowerbeds, varieties of flowers, fruit trees, and her special “Smoky Mountain” section of her yard that brought her so much joy. Maryann was a member of Christ Lutheran Church of Fort Wayne. She had a strong faith in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, which she shared with everyone and used to help guide others through the good and bad times that life, presents. Maryann loved her family dearly sharing in the joys of her family’s lives and a good laugh.

Calling hours were held on Thursday, Aug. 25, 2022, from 1-2 p.m. with a service beginning at 2 p.m. with Rev. Timothy Pederson officiating. A Graveside service followed at Riverside Cemetery, Andrews.
