Terry A. Taylor

Terry A. Taylor, 63, of Van Buren, passed away at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 2, 2022, at Marion General Hospital with his family by his side. He was born on Saturday, July 11, 1959, in Fairfield. He married Lois Jenkins on March 31, 1995, in Bardstown. In his early years he loved to coon hunt and spent a lot of time doing so. Terry was a former baseball coach and boy scout leader in Van Buren. He loved his daughter and boys, and especially enjoyed all the times working together in their family business, "Taylor and Sons, Well Service." Drilling wells was Terry's passion; he loved to help people get water. He would always say, "Nothing grows without water." If he was able to help someone out, he would. That is what filled his heart and made him grateful for the business he had, he knew each day he was able to help someone; whether it was drilling a well or helping a neighbor or friend, he was there to lend a hand to anyone in need. As the years went on and he became "papaw", his most favorite thing became his grandkids. He loved to make up silly songs and sing to his grandkids. His boys will continue Terry's love for well drilling, by continuing to operate his business, and his legacy will live on in all who knew him best.
Loving survivors include his mother, Susie L.Taylor, Marion; wife, Lois Taylor, Van Buren; daughter Christy Taylor, Marion; sons Jared (Alyssa) Taylor & Jake Taylor, both of Van Buren; grandchildren Gaige Colburn, Kennedi Freyholtz, Mackenzie Bragg, Brantlee Taylor, Casen Taylor; great-grandchildren Brealynn, Ryleigh, and Uriah Colburn; adopted “sons” Matthew Ashley & Logan Kemmerer; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his twin sister Sherry J. Rumple on June 21, 2022.
