Norma J. Bowling

 

Norma J. Bowling, of Huntington, passed away on Monday, Oct. 17, 2022, at her residence in Huntington surrounded by her family. 

Norma was born on May 23, 1940, in Huntington, to the late Floyd “Whitey” Rothgeb and Ethel (Drabenstot). Norma married Cleveland Bowling in 1956, and he preceded her in death in 1995. 

Norma was a member of the Mission House Ministries in Huntington. She loved her family, loved taking pictures, loved to talk and loved the Lord. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. 

Norma is survived by two sons, Charles (Jill) Bowling, Huntington; Steven (Michelle) Bowling, Milford, Ohio; three daughters, Diana (Billy) Vanover, Hazard, Kentucky, Linda (Jim) Cornett, Burlington, Kentucky; Karen Shaw, Huntington; 23 grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren. 

Along with her parents and husband she was preceded in death by three sons, David Bowling, Tim Bowling, Daniel Bowling; two brothers, Melvin Rothgeb, Donnie Rothgeb; and one sister, Connie Rothgeb. 

Calling hours will be held on Friday, Oct. 21, 2022, from 12 - 1 p.m., followed by a 1 p.m. Funeral Service at McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson St., Huntington. 

Burial will be at Star of Hope Cemetery, Huntington. 

In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Cancer Services of Huntington County in care of McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson Street, Huntington, IN 46750. 

McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
