Shirley Ann Brackin, 71 of Bluffton, passed away on Friday evening, Oct. 21, 2022, at her residence. She was born on Jan. 26, 1951, at the U.S. Naval Hospital in St. Albans (Queens), New York to Wayne B. Mooney & Margot Irmgrad (Krawczak) Mooney.
A 1969 graduate of East Meadow High School, Shirley retired from Franklin Electric after 40 years of service in January of 2018. She attended Life Community Church.
Survivors include her 4 children: Gregory (Roberta) Brackin, Michelle (Mike) McCarty, Jeffrey Brackin and Richard (Alexandria) Brackin. She was a loving grandma to seven grandchildren: Jennifer Brackin, Ashley Brackin, Courtney McShan, Kyle Wechsler, Andrew Brackin, Tanya Brown, and Scarlett Brackin; along with nine great-grandchildren. Shirley is also survived by her sister, Madelyn Newman.
She is preceded in death by her father, Wayne B. (wife Elizabeth A.) Mooney and mother, Margot Irmgard Mooney.
Visitation will be held from 4 - 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2022, at the Thoma/Rich, Lemler Funeral Home in Bluffton and for one hour prior to the service.
Funeral Services will take place at 10:30 A.M. on Thursday, Oct. 27, 2022, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Covington Memorial Gardens in Fort Wayne.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Thoma/Rich, Lemler Funeral Home in Bluffton.
