Lonnie Dewayne Sands, 58, of Andrews, passed away at 5:20 am Monday, Oct. 31, 2022 at Parkview Hospital Randallia, Ft. Wayne.
Lonnie was born on June 26, 1964 in Huntington, the son of Larry Sands and Linda (Ferris) Quear. He attended Huntington North High School and married Tamara Jo Badgett on May 22, 2022 in Huntington. Lonnie worked in construction, and he enjoyed music, especially playing drums and guitar. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and working on hot rod cars.
Survivors include his wife, Tamara Jo Sands of Andrews; son, Vance Sands of Huntington; daughter, Alexandria Sands of Huntington; brother, Leo (Becky) Sands of Kimmel; sister, Lisa Sands of Andrews; step-Daughters, Ashley and Mandy; seven Grandchildren; and eight nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his mother, Linda K. Quear, Father, Larry G. Sands, and brother, Larry James Sands.
Private services for close family and friends will be held.
