Jerry Mason, age 75, of Huntington passed away on Friday, Nov. 4, 2022, in Huntington. Jerry was born on Dec. 13, 1946, in Wabash to Glen Mason and Mary Ellen (Coburn) Miller. His parents preceded him in death. He married Diana Craig in 1966 and she survives and resides in Huntington.
Jerry was a graduate of Miami Senior High School, Miami, Florida. He served in the United States Army from 1966-1968. Jerry worked at Memcor for over 33 years and then at UTEC for 13 years. Jerry was a member of the American Legion and VFW #2689. Jerry loved bowling and watching football and Nascar.
Along with his wife of 56 years, Diana, he is survived by two sons, Edward (Cindy) Mason, Clovis, California, David Mason, Huntington; two brothers, Timothy (Debbie) Mason, Hileah, Florida, Kenneth (Elizabeth) Mason, Miami, Florida; 5 grandchildren, Izayah Mason, Sophia Mason, Noah Mason, C. J. Phaiyakhoun and Aaron Mason.
Along with his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers, John Sutton, twin brother Terry Mason, Donald Mason; and one sister, Gwen Mason.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, Nov. 11, 2022, from 12 to 2 p.m., followed by a 2 p.m. funeral service at McElhaney-Hart/Deal Rice Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson Street, Huntington, with Pastor Tim Lorenz officiating.
Burial will immediately follow at Pilgrim’s Rest Cemetery, Huntington.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the St. Peter Lutheran window restoration fund in care of McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson Street, Huntington, IN, 46750.
