Mary Ann Zoda

Mary Ann Zoda, of Van Buren, formerly of Heritage Pointe, Warren, passed away at 1:35 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 21, 2022 at Rolling Meadows Health & Rehabilitation Center in La Fontaine. She was born on Sunday, June 9, 1946, in Marion, to Chester Earl & Margaret Lucille (Clark) O’Banion.  She married Richard W. Zoda on Sunday, April 18, 1971, in Warren at the Applegate Chapel (Heritage Pointe); he passed on Oct. 29, 2016. Mary worked for over 35 years at Heritage Pointe in housekeeping. She formerly attended Dillman United Brethren Church and Applegate Chapel. Mary enjoyed baking, gardening, canning and was well known for her legendary angel food cakes and chocolate chip cookies. She was a member of the Van Buren Blackcreek Conservation Club Auxiliary.Loving survivors include sons Steven Wayne (Sandy) Zoda, Richmond, Robert Earl Zoda, Van Buren; grandchildren Cory Michael Zoda, Marion, Mack Austin (Megan) Zoda, Fayetteville, Alex Dougherty, England, Harley Pagel, Muncie; sister Janice Ramp, Huntington, and brother Pat (Judy) O'Banion, Huntington. She was preceded in death by her parents Chet & Lucille O'Banion; husband, Richard W. Zoda; sister, Janet K. Daugherty; and brothers Edwin O'Banion, William O'Banion, James O'Banion and Thomas O'Banion. Family and friends may gather to share and remember at Glancy-H. Brown & Son Funeral Home, 203 N. Matilda St. Warren on Friday, Nov. 25, 2022 from 12 - 3 p.m. A service to celebrate Mary’s life will follow at 3 p.m. with Chaplain Gerald Moreland officiating. Interment will follow in the Van Buren Cemetery in Van Buren. In lieu of flowers, please consider giving a memorial donation to Dillman United Brethren Church, 8888 S. 1100 W. Warren, IN 46792.
